Toyota Motor Thailand has introduced the Yaris Ativ Hybrid (aka Vios Hybrid) with two variants: HEV Premium at 729,000 baht (RM95,000) and HEV GR Sport at 779,000 baht (RM101,000).
A launch promotion runs until Dec 31, trimming prices to 719,000 baht (RM93,000 for Premium) and 769,000 baht (RM100,000 for GR Sport).
Separately, online pre-registrations are open for the updated bZ4X battery-electric SUV, with indicative starting prices of 1.5 million baht (RM195,000) for FWD and 1.6 million baht (RM208,000) for AWD.
The Yaris Ativ Hybrid pairs a 1.5-litre 2NR-VEX four-cylinder with a permanent-magnet motor and lithium-ion battery for a combined 111 hp, driving the front wheels via an e-CVT.
Toyota cites 29.4 km/l fuel economy (ECO Sticker, UN R101 lab test, HEV Premium).
The Premium grade adds a dark-chrome upper grille, 16-inch alloys, a 10.1-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, an EPB with Auto Hold, automatic air-conditioning with rear vents and PM2.5 filtration, and 64-colour ambient lighting.
The GR Sport variant adopts a full GR-S body kit, 17-inch wheels, black roof and GR badging, with model-specific suspension and EPS tuning.
Inside, it features black synthetic-leather seats and trim, plus a six-speaker Pioneer audio system.
Both grades include Toyota Safety Sense with a new Lane Keeping Control function integrated with all-speed Adaptive Cruise Control, plus BSM, RCTA, a Panoramic View Monitor, front and rear parking sensors, DVR and six airbags.
Customers receive a five-year unlimited-mileage hybrid-system warranty and up to 10 years on the hybrid battery when serviced under TCFR+ conditions.
Toyota highlights nationwide after-sales support via more than 450 service centres and parts stocked for hybrid models.
Optional colours include Platinum White Pearl (extra 7,000 baht/RM907 on Premium; 12,000 baht/RM1,555 on GR Sport with black roof) and Red Mica Metallic with black roof (extra 5,000 baht/RM648 on GR Sport).
Toyota Motor Thailand president Noriaki Yamashita said hybrids would remain key products alongside growing xEV and SUV demand.
The company targets 20,000 hybrid Ativ sales in the first year, with production at the Gateway plant in Chachoengsao starting at 65% local content and planned exports to 23 countries.
For the bZ4X, Toyota plans mid-October price confirmation, media drives at end-October and deliveries from November. Imported CBU from Japan under the EV3.5 package, the revised model adds faster charging, standard Toyota Safety Sense and a new FWD grade targeting up to 600 km NEDC range, with a first-year sales goal of 6,000 units (figures pending final certification).
