Kia Sales Malaysia has expanded its EV-ready dealer network into Sarawak with the opening of the Kia Kuching Heng Lian Enterprise Bhd 3S centre.
Located at Jalan Abell in central Kuching, the outlet handles sales and aftersales for both internal-combustion and electrified Kia models.
Heng Lian invested RM1.5 million in the facility, which covers 4,796 sq ft. The showroom has space for three vehicles, while the workshop gets two service bays rated to handle up to 260 vehicles a month. Kia’s latest diagnostic equipment is also installed.
Kia Sales Malaysia president and chief executive officer Hyung Ho Kim said the dealership extends the brand’s reach in East Malaysia and brings sales and servicing closer to customers in Sarawak.
The outlet is operated by Heng Lian Enterprise Bhd, a Sarawak automotive group established in 1984. Managing director Kevin Law said the investment supports the company’s role in Kia’s expansion in the region.
Customer facilities include a lounge, complimentary Wi-Fi and a pantry serving drinks and light snacks.
With Kuching added, Kia Sales Malaysia now has 26 dealerships nationwide. The new 3S centre is at Lot 106 & 107, Jalan Abell, 93100 Kuching.
