Lepas has opened Thai sales of the L6 EV, making Thailand the first market where customers can buy the electric SUV.

Orders and deliveries began alongside the Chery Group brand’s formal market introduction.

The L6 EV is available in Comfort and Premium form. The Comfort costs 769,900 baht (RM93,500), while the Premium carries a regular price of 829,900 baht (RM100,800). A launch offer lowers the Premium to 799,900 baht (RM97,200) until Aug 31.

Eligible buyers also receive a home charger, comprehensive motor insurance and a lifetime vehicle warranty, subject to conditions.

Both versions use a front-mounted motor producing 160 kW and 275 Nm, powered by a 65 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery.

Lepas Thailand quotes up to 540 km of NEDC range, equivalent to about 432 km (WLTP estimate). DC charging peaks at 120 kW, with a 30% to 80% recharge said to take 20 minutes.

The five-seat SUV measures 4,570 mm long, 1,852 mm wide and 1,683 mm tall, with a 2,700 mm wheelbase. Equipment includes a 13.2-inch infotainment screen, an 8.8-inch instrument display and a panoramic glass roof. Seven airbags and several driver-assistance systems are also fitted.

Initial Thai-market vehicles are imported fully built from China. Lepas intends to set up 50 sales and service locations across Thailand by the end of 2026.

Lepas is expected to launch in Malaysia later in 2026, although an exact date has not been announced.
