Aion Auto UK has put more than 1,250 Aion V spare-part lines into stock as DHL Supply Chain takes charge of parts storage and distribution for the electric SUV.
DHL will handle warehousing, inventory management, order fulfilment and nationwide distribution. Aion said the system is set up for next-day delivery to its retailers, repairers and accredited workshops, with orders managed digitally.
Parts availability is a key issue for any new car brand. Aion said it began setting up the DHL operation before its first UK customer deliveries.
Aion Auto UK aftersales director Ben Hurford said ready access to spare parts was a common concern for buyers considering an unfamiliar marque. The company therefore stocked its dedicated UK warehouse before selling its first car.
The logistics arrangement also feeds into Aion’s Great 8 ownership package.
Every Aion V comes with an eight-year/100,000-mile vehicle warranty and eight-year/125,000-mile battery warranty, plus eight years of servicing and roadside assistance. MOT test fees are also covered up to the eighth year from first registration.
Aion had already disclosed that its Bury St Edmunds parts hub would use DHL for nationwide next-day deliveries. The latest announcement puts a figure on the number of separate Aion V part lines now available.
The Aion V is a front-wheel-drive electric family SUV with a 75.3kWh lithium iron phosphate battery and a WLTP range of 510km. UK prices start at £36,450 (about RM201,300).
