Isuzu Motors Limited is set to debut the electric version of its popular D-Max pick-up truck.
The company’s first battery electric vehicle (BEV) will be unveiled at the 45th Bangkok International Motor Show (March 27-April 7).
Isuzu said the BEV combines the rugged performance with cutting-edge electric technology. It boasts a 1-tonne payload, 3.5-tonne towing capacity, and a full-time 4WD system, making it versatile for various needs.
The electric D-Max features a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 66.9kWh and a maximum output of 130kW, delivering impressive power and instant torque typical of electric vehicles. Its top speed exceeds 130kph, suitable for both urban commuting and off-road adventures.

With newly developed e-Axles in the front and rear, it is expected it offers exceptional performance on rough terrain while minimising noise and vibration.
Isuzu plans to initially launch the vehicle in select mainland European markets in 2025, with further expansion into the UK, Australia, Thailand, and other countries based on market demand and the development of EV charging infrastructure.
An Isuzu Motors International Operations Thailand spokesman said the D-Max BEV plays a key role as the company’s move towards sustainable mobility.
The vehicle will be showcased at the Bangkok Motor Show, offering attendees a glimpse into the future of electric mobility.
