Unplugged Performance has released its production-ready UP INVINCIBLE 2.5-inch lift kit for the Tesla Cybertruck, giving owners a more serious off-road upgrade without bypassing the truck’s factory suspension systems.
The kit is priced from US$9,995 (RM41,000) and is available to order now. Unplugged is also offering professional installation at its Hawthorne facility in Los Angeles and its Fremont location in the Bay Area.
Unplugged Performance develops aftermarket wheels, suspension, brakes, aerodynamic parts and complete builds for Tesla vehicles.
The Cybertruck is not a normal ladder-frame pick-up, so lifting it is not as simple as fitting a spacer and calling it a day. It uses factory air suspension, ride-height sensors, steer-by-wire and rear-wheel steering. Those systems have to keep working properly after any suspension modification.
Unplugged said its lift kit does not trick the ride-height sensors or force the factory air suspension beyond its intended range. Instead, the system lifts the body relative to the subframe, giving the Cybertruck 2.5 inches of additional lift and up to 19.5 inches of ground clearance.
The kit also includes high-clearance front and rear upper control arms, machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminium and paired with stainless steel hardware. The aim is to correct the suspension geometry after the lift while keeping the air suspension sensors in their proper positions.
For owners who actually take the Cybertruck off-road, the benefit is obvious. More clearance improves approach, breakover and departure angles. It should also help on rocky trails, deep ruts, uneven job sites, steep driveways and rough access roads.
Unplugged said the lift may reduce range at highway speeds since raising a large electric pick-up will usually hurt aerodynamics.
