Jetour Malaysia has opened bookings for the T2 i-DM, giving its boxy SUV a plug-in hybrid sibling with a far longer claimed driving range.
The T2 i-DM, short for intelligence dual mode, made its first public appearance at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show 2026.
Indicative pricing is RM168,888, with bookings now accepted at authorised Jetour dealerships nationwide.
This is the electrified version of the T2, which was launched locally in March. The shape is familiar: upright, chunky and aimed at buyers who want an SUV with more visual muscle than the usual rounded family crossover. The difference here is under the skin.
The T2 i-DM uses a 1.5-litre turbocharged dedicated hybrid petrol engine, paired with a dual-motor electric system and a three-speed dedicated hybrid transmission.
Combined output is rated at 265kW and 610Nm, which puts it well above the normal “save fuel, drive gently” hybrid brief.
Jetour claims more than 100km of pure electric driving range and up to 1,200km of combined range. As it is a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, owners can charge it externally, and the SUV supports both AC and DC charging.
That gives it a useful middle ground: electric running for daily trips, petrol backup for longer drives.
Safety and cabin equipment include Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems, six airbags and a panoramic view monitor. Jetour has not released the full Malaysian specification list yet, so the final kit count will need to wait until launch.
The T2 i-DM is also part of a broader Jetour display at KLIMS 2026.
The brand is showing the G700 Concept Car for the first time publicly here, while the T1 is now being displayed as a full production model rather than a pre-production unit.
Malaysia gets the petrol version of the T1, which is also offered as a plug-in hybrid in other markets. The T1 will be offered in two versions at launch: a 1.5-litre turbocharged 2WD form driving the front wheels and a 2.0-litre turbocharged all-wheel drive unit. Estimated prices are RM143,800 and RM153,800 respectively.
Also on show are the T2, VT9 and Dashing, with test drives available for the T1, T2, VT9 and Dashing during the event.
Jetour is using KLIMS to push sales as well. Customers who book the regular T2 at the exhibition can get a RM2,000 rebate, while the Dashing and VT9 are offered with rebates of up to RM10,000 and RM15,000 respectively.
The T2 i-DM gives Jetour a timely PHEV card to play. It keeps the rugged styling of the T2, adds electric-only running and avoids asking buyers to go fully electric in one jump.
