Honda said it would roll out a redesigned “H mark” as the new symbol for its automobile business, with the badge set to appear on future electric vehicles and major hybrid-electric (HEV) models.
The updated emblem will debut on Honda’s next-generation vehicles due from 2027, and will also be used more broadly, including at dealership sites, in communications, and in the company’s automobile motorsport activities.
Honda positioned the change as part of its wider push into electrification and intelligent technologies, as the industry shifts into a new phase. The carmaker said the new mark was intended to reflect how it planned to keep creating value for customers during that transition.
The “H” mark, first introduced in 1963, has been revised several times. Honda said the latest version was first shown alongside its next-generation EV direction, including the Honda 0 Series.
According to Honda, the new design evokes two outstretched hands, signalling a commitment to expanding mobility possibilities and meeting the needs of people worldwide, with a gradual rollout across its auto business.
