GWM Malaysia has opened bookings for the refreshed Ora Good Cat and the sportier Ora Good Cat GT, with prices starting from RM115,000.

The pair builds on the nameplate’s Malaysian debut in 2023, when the fully electric hatchback arrived as one of the earliest Chinese EVs in the market.

The refreshed line-up brings styling tweaks, comfort improvements and added equipment.

The Ora Good Cat targets mainstream urban buyers, while the GT variant adds a more aggressive look and higher output. The GT version is making its Malaysian debut in this updated form.

Both use a 57.7 kWh SVOLT lithium iron phosphate battery and come with Level 2 driver assistance and a 360-degree camera.

On the standard Good Cat, the single motor is rated at 143 PS and 210 Nm. Claimed driving range is up to 480km on the NEDC cycle (410km on WLTP).

Charging supports up to 60 kW DC, with a 30% to 80% top-up quoted at about 38 minutes, and 6.6 kW AC for home and workplace use.

Inside, equipment includes a 10.25-inch infotainment display, leatherette upholstery and connectivity via Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and the My GWM app.

The estimated price is “below RM115,000”, positioning it as an accessible entry point to EV ownership.

The Ora Good Cat GT raises outputs to 171 PS and 250 Nm, with a stated NEDC range of up to 460km (390km on WLTP).

Visual changes include a sportier front bumper, GT rear spoiler, GT-specific alloy wheels and yellow brake callipers.

The cabin gains GT sport seats with suede trim and yellow stitching, while performance-oriented features add Launch Control.

As with the standard car, the GT retains Level 2 ADAS and full camera coverage. GWM lists the GT’s estimated price as “below RM125,000”.

Standard technology across both variants includes smartphone integration and app-based vehicle functions via My GWM, enabling owners to access selected controls and information remotely.

The charging specification remains unchanged between the two, with the GT’s shorter quoted range reflecting its higher performance tune.

GWM Malaysia said the updated Ora range is intended to broaden choice for buyers seeking a compact EV with contemporary design and comprehensive active safety.

Bookings can be made at authorised GWM showrooms nationwide or through the official website. Deliveries and final specifications will be confirmed closer to the local launch.
