GWM Malaysia has introduced a refreshed Ora Good Cat Ultra and Ora Good Cat GT for 2025, giving its electric hatchback range sharper styling, upgraded features and a stronger push in the competitive compact EV segment.
Unveiled in Kuala Lumpur today, the new line-up focuses on making the brand’s best-known EV more distinctive while reinforcing its position as a style-led, tech-led option for urban drivers.
GWM Malaysia managing director Cui Anqi said the Ora nameplate is a key part of the company’s new energy strategy, aimed at making electric mobility fun, intelligent and accessible to more Malaysians.
The Ora Good Cat now counts more than 520,000 users worldwide, a figure GWM cites as proof of growing trust in the model.
A key visual change is the addition of a new So Blue with Black Roof two-tone option, expanding a colour palette that also includes Hazel Wood Beige with Brown Roof, Pistachio Green, and GT-only Aqua Grey and Sun Black.
The retro-futuristic shape remains, but the refreshed details are designed to give the car a more confident, upmarket presence.
Two variants continue to define the range.
The Ora Good Cat Ultra targets style-conscious daily drivers with a 57.7 kWh SVOLT LFP battery, up to 480km NEDC range (400km on WLTP), 143PS and 210Nm, 60kW DC fast charging (30–80% in about 38 minutes), 6.6 kW AC charging, 10.25-inch infotainment display, leatherette upholstery, Level 2 driver assistance and a 360-degree camera.
Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and the My GWM app provide connected convenience.
The Ora Good Cat GT is pitched at buyers seeking a sportier edge. It adds an exclusive GT bodykit, gloss black trim, 18-inch alloys with yellow accents, GT badging, yellow brake calipers and sport seats with suede and contrast stitching.
Output rises to 171 PS and 250Nm with up to 460km NEDC range (390km on WLTP), while retaining the same charging hardware and safety suite.
All variants are backed by a 5-year/150,000km vehicle warranty and 8-year/180,000km battery warranty.
An early bird offer gives buyers an additional RM3,000 discount on registrations completed by Dec 31, alongside a “Book & Win” campaign with prizes worth up to RM150,000 for customers who place bookings across the GWM range.
