XPeng has launched the L03 SUV coupé, the MONA range’s first model developed for global markets.
Unveiled in Munich on July 16, the L03 is part of a rollout covering 65 countries and regions. It retains the MONA L03 name in China but is marketed simply as the XPeng L03 overseas.
European buyers will initially be offered four battery-electric versions.
Preliminary specifications list up to 520km of WLTP range for the rear-wheel-drive Long Range, while the Standard Range covers 445km.
Two all-wheel-drive versions produce 285 kW, accelerate from 0–100kph in 4.5 seconds and provide 440km of WLTP range.
The Standard Range accepts up to 193 kW DC, while the larger-battery versions peak at 236 kW. XPeng claims a 10–80% charging time of 20 minutes across the electric range.
The L03 has a fastback body, frameless doors and a claimed drag coefficient of 0.228. Google Maps technology will be incorporated into XPeng’s own navigation interface for vehicles sold outside China.
A range-extender version offering more than 1,000km of combined driving range is also included in the global programme.
