Chery’s Lepas brand has unveiled the Aura, its first global concept car, previewing styling elements that will influence its future production models.
The concept made its world debut on October 22 during the Lepas Global Elegant Lifestyle Week in Wuhu, China.
Drawing inspiration from a leopard, the Aura features a wide stance, long wheelbase and short overhangs, giving it a low, planted appearance.
Pronounced shoulder lines run along its body, while the headlights take their styling cues from a leopard’s eyes.
Other details include a new front fascia, side air vents and a porcelain-effect exterior finish.
The front and rear lighting panels can display personalised animations, a feature Lepas is considering as part of its future design identity.
Three exterior colours were also introduced: Dawn Pearl, Bacalar Blue and Provence Twilight.
Lepas global chief designer Ivan Dulanović said the Aura would influence the brand’s upcoming designs, particularly their front styling, lighting and surface finishes.
The Aura is intended as a design study rather than a preview of a specific production vehicle.
Lepas has not announced technical specifications for the concept, including its powertrain.
The unveiling comes as the Chery-owned brand develops its international presence, with the Aura providing a first look at how its design language could evolve.
