BYD Sime Motors has opened a new showroom in Rawang, Selangor, featuring a castle-inspired design and a dedicated exhibition space for emerging Malaysian artists.
Operated by BE Autohaus, the outlet is BE Group’s third BYD dealership after Setia Alam and Kota Kemuning, extending the brand’s presence into Rawang, a growing town on the northern outskirts of Greater Kuala Lumpur.
Occupying 4,298 sq ft on a 10,803 sq ft site, the showroom takes its design cues from European architecture, and is styled to resemble a castle, with light-coloured finishes and a distinctive themed exterior.
It accommodates five display vehicles and includes a customer lounge and dedicated vehicle delivery room.
Beyond selling electric vehicles, the showroom will host quarterly art exhibitions, giving aspiring local artists a platform to display and sell their creations.
Each exhibition runs for three months, with participating artists retaining 100% of sales proceeds. The dealership will not charge commissions.
BE Group managing director Andrew Tay said the initiative was intended to support local creative talent while offering customers something different from a conventional showroom visit.
An opening celebration runs from Oct 19 to 30, featuring test drives, promotional offers on selected BYD models and lucky draws for customers who book vehicles.
The new showroom is located at No. 3, Jalan Anggun Perdana 1, Taman Anggun, 48000 Rawang.
BE Group has delivered more than 2,250 BYD vehicles since joining the brand’s dealer network in 2022.
Nationwide, BYD Sime Motors operates 45 sales and marketing outlets, 33 aftersales facilities and 16 body and paint centres.
