Chinese autonomous vehicle specialist Neolix has signed a distribution agreement with Sunway Group to introduce its driverless electric delivery vehicles in Malaysia.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was announced at Transport Expo Asia 2026 on Oct 21.
Under the arrangement, Sunway could deploy the vehicles for last-mile deliveries and transporting goods and medical supplies between facilities.
Potential locations include Sunway’s integrated townships and businesses spanning healthcare, retail, hospitality and property development.
Beijing-based Neolix is no newcomer to Malaysia. It has been testing its Level 4 autonomous delivery vehicles locally for the past three months, with units already operating on Malaysian roads in the liveries of Tiong Nam Logistics and SF Express.
The company said its safety assessment was nearing completion, with the testing programme set to enter the Vehicle Type Approval (VTA) stage.
Level 4 automation allows a vehicle to operate without human driving intervention under specified conditions.
The Sunway partnership adds another potential customer and distribution channel for Neolix, which also works with Malaysian partners PLS and Mindhub.
Globally, Neolix claims to operate more than 30,000 autonomous delivery vehicles across over 320 cities in more than 20 countries.
