Edaran Otomobil Nasional (EON) has opened its first multi-brand body and paint hub in Glenmarie, Shah Alam, offering accident repairs and insurance claims services for vehicles from several marques.

The facility accepts accident repair claims involving all insurance companies operating in Malaysia, allowing owners to arrange repairs through a single centre.

Among its technical capabilities is the recalibration of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), which may be necessary after collision repairs involving cameras, sensors or other safety-related components.

The hub serves vehicles from Proton, Mitsubishi, Audi and smart, with Proton e.MAS electric models expected to be included later.

Covering 41,508 sq ft, the centre has 39 repair bays, four spray booths and three paint-mixing rooms. It can handle between 360 and 400 vehicles a month.

Services range from accident damage repairs and dent removal to bodywork restoration and repainting.

EON said the facility uses manufacturer-approved repair procedures and equipment, supported by technicians trained to work on vehicles from different brands.

The new hub consolidates body repairs and refinishing services under one roof, rather than requiring separate facilities for each marque.

EON chief executive officer Akkbar Danial said the investment was part of the company’s efforts to strengthen aftersales support and improve the ownership experience.

EON, a subsidiary of DRB-Hicom, is also considering similar facilities in other parts of the country, particularly in areas where it already operates multi-brand dealerships.

Further expansion will depend on customer demand and the performance of the Glenmarie hub. It is located at  29, Jalan Pelukis U1/46, Kawasan Perindustrian Temasya, 40150 Shah Alam.
