Chery is expanding its iCaur V27 range-extender SUV into Europe, with launches in Greece and Romania ahead of a wider rollout that includes Italy in 2027.
The rugged, five-seat SUV made its Greek debut at Auto Athina 2026, which runs from Oct 3 to 11. The all-wheel-drive version carries a promotional starting price of €54,900 (RM251,300).
In Romania, iCaur introduced the V27 at the Bucharest Auto Show and opened pre-orders. The flagship Premium variant is listed at €54,990 (RM251,800), with an introductory offer reducing the price to €49,400 (RM226,600). Sales are scheduled to begin in the first half of 2027.
The V27 uses iCaur’s Golden REEV range-extender system, pairing electric propulsion with a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that functions solely as a generator, without driving the wheels.
European specifications include rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations, both equipped with a 34.31kWh battery.
The rear-wheel-drive Classic produces 185kW and 300Nm, while the dual-motor Premium delivers 335kW and 505Nm. The latter accelerates from 0–100kph in 5.9 seconds.
Electric-only range is rated at 135km for the Classic and 130km for the Premium under the WLTC cycle. DC fast charging from 20–80% takes about 30 minutes, while vehicle-to-load functionality supports external electrical equipment at up to 6kW.
The European-specification V27 measures 4,899mm long, with a 2,900mm wheelbase.
Italy is another confirmed destination. Chery presented the V27 at the MiMo motor show at Monza in June, with the SUV scheduled to spearhead iCaur’s Italian market entry in the first quarter of 2027.
