Lotus has enabled Spatial Audio in CarPlay on its Eletre and Emeya electric models, effective today.
The feature works with Apple Music and plays in Dolby Atmos via KEF sound systems offering up to 23 speakers, depending on specification.
Lotus says the upgrade delivers a more immersive, three-dimensional soundstage across the cabin, with clearer placement and depth in supported tracks.
The rollout requires an over-the-air vehicle update and an iPhone running iOS 18 or later.
Spatial Audio content is available through Apple Music’s catalogue and curated playlists across multiple genres. KEF, the British hi-fi brand partnered with Lotus, provides the hardware underpinning the experience.
By adding Spatial Audio in CarPlay, Lotus broadens the in-car entertainment capabilities of its latest EVs without hardware changes, aligning them with premium rivals that already support Dolby Atmos playback.
Availability begins immediately for compatible cars and devices once the software update is installed.
