Sime Motors has unveiled EV NEXT, the country’s first dedicated dealership for used electric vehicles, signalling a major move in Malaysia’s burgeoning sustainable mobility sector.

The launch comes amid rising consumer interest in eco-friendly transport options, with Sime Motors aiming to become a regional leader in the used EV market.

According to Sime Motors managing director Andrew Basham, the new venture is designed to cater to a wide range of lifestyles by offering a diverse selection of pre-owned EVs paired with attractive trade-in values.

Sime Motors nanaging director for Southeast Asia Jeffrey Gan said EV NEXT is a one-stop centre for all aspects of EV ownership – from vehicle retail and trade-ins to comprehensive aftersales support.

The dealership’s portfolio features models from prominent brands including BYD, BMW, MINI, Hyundai, Jaguar, Porsche, and Volvo.

EV NEXT promises a seamless customer experience by combining rigorous quality checks with expert maintenance services provided by Sime Motors’ certified technicians.

In addition, the Drivecare network, an independent aftersales service arm, complements the dealership by offering ongoing maintenance and peace of mind for EV owners.

With showrooms already operational in Glenmarie, Chan Sow Lin, and TREC, Sime Motors is set to expand EV NEXT across the nation with new locations in Penang, Tebrau, and Johor Baru.
