Mercedes-Benz Malaysia unveiled today the country’s first all-electric Mercedes-Maybach, the EQS 680 SUV.

It is priced from RM1,088,888 (on-the-road with 10% sales tax, without insurance).

The launch introduces an entirely new era for the Maybach brand in Malaysia by combining state-of-the-art electrification with the heritage of opulent design.

The new model is engineered for a silent, refined drive and is aimed at customers who demand both exquisite aesthetics and cutting-edge automotive technology.

The EQS 680 SUV’s exterior features a bold presence with a prominent Mercedes-Benz star centred on a smooth, expansive black panel.

This panel is carefully finished with vertically arranged, chrome-plated trim strips that provide a three-dimensional depth, while advanced materials such as indium ensure seamless integration of radar sensors within the design. Chrome-plated slats, discreet Maybach badging and a continuous

Digital Light strip along the front all contribute to the vehicle’s distinctive character.

The design is further enhanced by striking two-tone paintwork applied by hand, and an optional Night Series package, which introduces dark chrome details and special Maybach pinstripes for an even more progressive appearance.

Complementing the exterior are exclusive 21-inch multi-spoke light-alloy wheels, illuminated running boards and bespoke details that collectively define the vehicle’s dynamic and luxurious stance.

The cabin is dominated by the MBUX Hyperscreen, which spans three displays and features unique Mercedes-Maybach start-up animations, customisable to showcase various modes such as navigation, assistance and service.

Luxurious natural materials, including open-pore walnut wood and manufaktur Exclusive Nappa leather, are combined with refined metallic accents to create an atmosphere of understated elegance.

The seating is designed for maximum comfort, with front executive seats offering features like ventilation, massage and heating, while the rear compartment transforms into a relaxing lounge fitted with dual 11.6-inch displays, MBUX High-End Rear Seat Entertainment and an integrated rear tablet.

Advanced ambient lighting, featuring 253 individually controllable LEDs in 64 selectable colours, creates bespoke moods tailored to the preferences of discerning passengers.

The vehicle also incorporates an innovative automatic door system that responds to the driver’s approach, providing a futuristic welcome that enhances the overall luxury experience.

Additional highlights include a comprehensive approach to passenger comfort, with features such as adjustable ambient scenting and enhanced air quality management via Energizing Air Control Plus with a HEPA filter.

Smart design touches extend throughout the vehicle, from galvanised steering controls to illuminated door sills and a custom-designed pedal system that proudly bears the Maybach emblem.

The fully imported EQS 680 SUV has a range of 608km (WLTP).
