Polestar has expanded its Charge network to more than 1.25 million public charging points across Europe while adding a cheaper subscription option for drivers who use fast chargers less frequently.
The new Plus tier costs £6.99 (RM38) a month in the UK and gives a 15% discount at five selected fast-charging networks in each market.
The existing Pro tier costs £12.99 (RM70) a month and offers a 30% discount across seven selected networks, including Ionity.
In the UK, Plus subscribers can now receive discounted charging at more than 11,000 points, while Pro covers more than 12,000. Polestar said those totals have increased by 35% and 48% respectively.
Drivers who do not subscribe can continue using the standard Polestar Charge service. All three options provide access to the wider network of more than 1.25 million charging points, including Tesla Superchargers.
Polestar Charge is included with new and used Polestar cars. The service combines charging access and payment through one account, app or charging card, while compatible cars can use Plug & Charge.
Drivers can also filter participating chargers when planning routes through Google Maps.
Polestar recorded about 161,000 charging sessions through the service during the summer.
The expansion comes as battery-electric cars accounted for 20.7% of new-car registrations in the European Union during the first half of 2026, up from 15.6% a year earlier, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association.
