Proton e.MAS has delivered its 40,000th vehicle, reaching the milestone within 20 months of the electric vehicle brand’s launch.
To mark the occasion, PRO-NET is offering owners a 40% discount on charging fees through the Proton e.MAS app from 11am on Oct 1 until 11am on Oct 5, 2026. No registration or redemption is required.
The Proton subsidiary is also extending several longer-term charging incentives. Owners can access 12 charge point operators through the app, with preferential rates of up to RM1.20 per kWh at DC Handal chargers.
A separate promotion will give users 20% off charging at RExharge stations through the app from Oct 5 until Dec 31.
Pro-NET chief executive officer Zhang Qiang said the 40,000-vehicle milestone had increased the company’s responsibility to improve the ownership experience as its customer base grows.
Its retail network now comprises 60 dealers supported by more than 1,600 trained sales and aftersales personnel. Pro-NET is targeting 70 outlets by the end of 2026, including 57 service centres and 14 Body & Paint centres.
Aftersales incentives are also being offered in October. Customers will receive 10% off service and maintenance from 1 to 31 October, while the first 1,000 service customers will get a Proton e.MAS 5 Touch ’n Go card.
Pro-NET said parts availability currently stands at 98.8%. It is also working with Mara to train certified EV technicians.
Customers trading in eligible vehicles through Carsome can receive an additional rebate of up to RM1,000 between Oct 1 and Dec 31.
Those buying or renewing selected e.MAS Care Elite or Flex insurance policies can also receive RM100 in charging credits, limited to the first 5,000 eligible registrations during the same period.
Pro-NET will meanwhile introduce a refreshed Proton e.MAS app by the end of 2026. One addition, PassGo, rewards eligible driving distance, with owners receiving 300 welcome points after linking their vehicle and one point for every qualifying kilometre driven.
Points can be redeemed for vouchers from services including Grab, Touch ’n Go, Foodpanda and Lazada.
