Chery has opened Australian reservations for the Stockman diesel plug-in hybrid pick-up truck ahead of customer deliveries starting on Feb 1, 2027.
Customers who reserve online before sales begin will receive an A$2,000 (RM5,649) Bunnings gift card, three years or 45,000km of scheduled servicing and priority access to the Stockman in Matte Silver.
The offer follows a partnership between Chery Australia and hardware retailer Bunnings as the Chinese carmaker prepares to enter Australia’s competitive dual-cab pick-up truck market.
Previously known by its KP31 development code, the Stockman is expected to launch with a 2.5-litre turbo-diesel plug-in hybrid powertrain producing a combined 350kW and 800Nm.
Chery has previously quoted up to 100km of electric-only range on the NEDC cycle and a 3,500kg braked towing capacity.
Australian reports also list three differential locks, all-terrain tyres, crawl control and a tight-turn function among its off-road equipment.
The Stockman measures 5,450mm long, 2,010mm wide and 1,890mm tall. Cabin equipment previously confirmed includes a head-up display, heated and ventilated front seats, wireless phone charging and a premium audio system.
The February delivery start follows an earlier indication that the Stockman would reach Australia in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Pricing, final specifications and the official on-sale date will be announced closer to launch.
