The locally assembled model features advanced technology and locally produced batteries from PT HLI Green Power, enhancing Hyundai’s position in the EV market and supporting Indonesia’s goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2060.

The second-generation Kona Electric is available in five variants: Signature Long Range (IDR 590 million/RM171,000), Signature Standard Range (IDR 575 million/RM167,000), Prime Long Range (IDR 560 million/RM162,000), Prime Standard Range (IDR 515 million/RM149,000), and Style (IDR 499 million/RM145,000).

These options offer a range of features and prices to meet different consumer needs.

The Kona Electric offers a flexible and easy charging experience, with compatibility with various charging stations in Indonesia through its CCS2 port. The Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) feature allows the car to act as a mobile charger for other devices, enhancing its utility for outdoor activities. Additionally, the car includes a Utility Mode to power electronic devices using the High Voltage Battery without affecting the 12V battery.

Design-wise, the Kona Electric features a clean and aerodynamic profile with a Pixelated Seamless Horizon Lamp, twin headlamps with full LED projector lights, and robust body-coloured wheel arches.

The interior boasts a spacious cabin with a flat floor design, a fully electrically operable sunroof, dual zone climate control, and best-in-class cargo space of 466 litres, expandable to 1,300 litres with folded rear seats.

The Kona Electric is equipped with advanced entertainment features, including a Panoramic Display integrating a 12.3-inch LCD cluster with a 12.3-inch navigation screen, 8 premium BOSE speakers, and wireless connectivity for Android Auto and Apple Carplay.

Performance-wise, the Kona Electric comes in two battery options: a 48.9 kWh battery offering over 400km range and a 66 kWh battery offering over 500 km and 600km ranges, respectively.

All variants deliver 255Nm of torque and reach a top speed of 167kph for long-range and 155kph for standard-range variants.

Hyundai also introduced several cutting-edge safety features in the all-new Kona Electric, including Forward Collision Avoidance, Driver Attention Warning, High Beam Assist, and Blind-Spot Collision Avoidance Assist. The also supports over-the-air updates for seamless system enhancements and includes a Smart Power Tailgate for added convenience.

The Kona Electric is available in nine exterior colours and offers a special benefit program, Hyundai Jaga, providing free maintenance, spare parts, and warranties. Hyundai also announced expanded charging station networks and an EV Charging Service Program, offering 50kWh/month charging credits for one year at public charging stations for purchases made at the auto show.
