Fiat has announced the 2027 Topolino for the US market, introducing a new Open Air variant and changes that allow the electric two-seater to meet low-speed vehicle (LSV) regulations.

Existing owners will receive a complimentary conversion kit to make their vehicles compliant with US LSV requirements. Later shipments of the 2027 model will arrive at dealerships with the necessary modifications already fitted.

The Topolino Open Air joins the existing Topolino and Dolce Vita versions, featuring a retractable fabric roof.

Fiat has also added Corallo Orange and Luna Greige to the colour range, along with a new full-colour digital instrument display.

The battery-electric microcar has a 5.4kWh battery, offering a claimed range of up to 74km. Its maximum speed is limited to 40kph in US specification.

As an LSV, the Topolino can operate on public roads with speed limits of up to 56kph, subject to state and local regulations.

Prices start at US$13,995 (about RM57,000), excluding destination charges.

Fiat said demand has exceeded expectations, with several US dealers selling their initial allocations of the 2026 model.

The company also unveiled a one-off Topolino developed with Italian yacht manufacturer Sanlorenzo at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

The customised vehicle features leather trim, nautical-grade wood flooring and interior materials inspired by Sanlorenzo’s yachts.
