A Chinese government energy-consumption filing lists the new BMW iX3 Long Wheelbase with a 919km CLTC driving range and rated power consumption of 13.6 kWh/100 km.
That range translates to about 735km (WLTP estimate), although the eventual Malaysian figure may differ depending on vehicle specification, wheels and local homologation.
The dual-motor model has listed peak outputs of 116 kW at the front and 235 kW at the rear, adding up to 351 kW (477 PS).
BMW had previously said the China-developed electric SUV would exceed 900km (CLTC), but had not disclosed the final certified figure.
The iX3 Long Wheelbase uses BMW’s sixth-generation eDrive system and an 800-volt electrical architecture.
Maximum DC charging power is 400 kW. BMW said a suitable charger could add more than 400km of CLTC range in around 10 minutes, while a 10–80% charge would take 21 minutes.
The new regulatory numbers follow an efficiency run around Qinghai Lake in June.
An iX3 50L xDrive prototype covered more than 800km on public roads, averaged 12.6 kWh/100km and finished with 2% battery remaining. It carried a battery with 108.7 kWh of usable capacity.
Compared with the standard-wheelbase iX3, the China-oriented model has an additional 108 mm between its axles. It measures 4,885 mm long and has a 3,005 mm wheelbase, giving BMW more room to improve rear-seat accommodation.
China-specific features include BMW Panoramic iDrive, locally developed software and driver assistance created with Momenta. Services from Amap, Huawei, Alibaba and DeepSeek are also integrated.
The iX3 Long Wheelbase is scheduled to enter the Chinese market in the second half of 2026.
BMW has confirmed Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and India as selected export markets, although local launch dates and specifications remain unannounced.
