Flexi Parking has installed six 7kW alternating-current chargers at Silverpark Resort, which it says form Fraser’s Hill’s first EV charging site.
The installation gives EV drivers a place to recharge while visiting or staying at the hill resort. Flexi Parking noted that Fraser’s Hill has no petrol station.
Its 7kW output is better suited to longer stops and overnight stays than quick charging during a short break.
Charging costs 99 sen per kWh, while an idle fee of 20 sen per minute, or RM12 an hour, applies after charging ends.
Drivers start a session by parking in a designated charging bay and connecting the charging gun to their vehicle. They then open the Flexi Parking app and scan the QR code on the charger. A moving green light indicates that charging has begun.
To stop charging, the QR code is scanned again through the app. Flexi Parking advises users to disconnect the charging gun, roll up the cable and return the connector securely to its holder before leaving.
