Volvo Car Malaysia has added a branded home charger to its local electrified vehicle line-up, with the Volvo Wallbox now listed for Malaysian buyers through authorised retailers.
The unit is an 11kW AC wallbox designed for three-phase supply and indoor or outdoor installation.
It comes with an integrated 7m charging cable, Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity, RFID support and an IP55 weather-resistance rating.
App control is one of its main selling points. Owners can pair the charger with the Volvo Cars app to monitor charging, manage access, review charging history and set charging schedules from their phone.
Volvo’s Malaysian product page does not publish a fixed retail price, stating only that pricing is available through retailers. However, local reports put the Wallbox at RM3,990.
The charger also carries a three-year factory warranty. For installation, Volvo Car Malaysia has appointed EV Connection Sdn Bhd as its preferred installer, with home installation packages starting from RM1,600.
The Wallbox is aimed at Volvo electric and plug-in hybrid owners who want a cleaner home setup than a portable cable, while keeping the charging hardware within the Volvo ownership ecosystem.
