Porsche has built a Taycan with Soho House written all over it.
This is the Taycan Turbo S Sport Turismo Soho House One, a one-off Sonderwunsch build created with Soho Home, the interiors arm of Soho House. The base car is no soft lounge act either. It is a 700 kW, 952 PS electric wagon with the full Taycan Turbo S powertrain underneath.
The first thing you notice is the paint. Porsche calls it Greek Street Green, a satin finish inspired by the exterior of Soho House’s original address at 40 Greek Street in London. The wheels are finished in Monteverde Green, keeping the whole thing firmly in clubland rather than the usual silver-and-black special edition routine.
The cabin is where the Soho Home brief becomes obvious. There is Truffle Brown leather, burl wood trim and a bespoke chocolate-coloured fabric inspired by Soho Home’s Murphy Jacquard. The pattern takes its cue from geometric motifs used at 180 House in London.
Porsche has also fitted its Variable Light Control glass roof, which lets occupants adjust how much sunlight comes through without using a conventional blind.
This is not a production model. It mainly exists to show how far Porsche’s Sonderwunsch department can go when a customer, or in this case a brand partner, wants something more personal than a paint-to-sample order.
The Taycan Turbo S Soho House One makes its public debut at Icons of Porsche, Sunstede Silverstone Edition, on June 20 and 21. It is odd, very expensive-looking and at least less forgettable than another grey special edition.
