DFSK has revealed the right-hand-drive version of the E5 PLUS in Hong Kong, giving the Seres Group brand a stronger entry point into markets such as Indonesia, Hong Kong and the wider right-hand-drive region.
The E5 PLUS RHD was shown at the 2026 International Automotive & Supply Chain Expo. DFSK said the model is part of a wider product renewal, with the brand pushing harder into new energy vehicles after earlier E5 PLUS activity in North Africa and South America.
The car is powered by the Seres Super Hybrid System. DFSK claims a combined driving range of up to 1,200km on the WLTP cycle, which puts the E5 PLUS closer to the long-range plug-in hybrid and range-extender crowd than a conventional hybrid.
The RHD model has also been adjusted for markets in Southeast Asia.
DFSK said its driver assistance functions, including Lane Centering Control and Adaptive Cruise Control, have been tuned for local driving conditions. The infotainment system supports Traditional Chinese for Hong Kong, Thai, Indonesian, Malay and Vietnamese.
The intelligent driving version comes with five millimetre-wave radars and 22 sensing units. It also gets a 540-degree panoramic view system, aimed at making the car easier to place in tight urban roads and parking areas.
DFSK is also leaning on localised production and support. The company said its highly automated plants in Indonesia and Vietnam will help it respond faster to regional demand, while a new service framework will cover network capability, operations, training, technical support and parts availability.
DFSK president Amy Gong said the E5 PLUS marks the start of a wider refresh of the brand’s product line-up, with more emphasis on technology, intelligent features and overseas expansion.
Founded in 2003, DFSK said it has delivered more than five million vehicles across more than 70 countries and regions.
