Nio has launched the all-new ES8, a large three-row flagship SUV, at NIO Day 2025 in Hangzhou, returning the event in autumn for the first time.
Deliveries begin on Sept 21.
The ES8 comes in seven- and six-seat Executive Premium variants from 406,800 yuan, or 298,800 yuan with Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS).
A six-seat Executive Signature Edition starts at 446,800 yuan, or 338,800 yuan with BaaS.
Prices shown are after a 10,000 yuan (RM5,912) promotional discount.
Now in its third generation, the ES8 anchors Nio’s push in the premium family EV segment.
Nio also rolled out the ET9 Horizon Edition, positioned as its smart electric executive flagship.
Prices start at 818,000 yuan, or 710,000 yuan with BaaS, with deliveries due by end-September.
The Horizon Edition features a two-tone exterior inspired by the Nio logo: an upper section representing “sky and vision” and a lower portion symbolising “earth and action”.
The model refines the ET9’s design and cabin craftsmanship while retaining Nio’s headline technologies for the segment.
At NIO Day 2025, over 700 users and creators took part in co-creation efforts that included a theme song by the Nio Band, a user documentary profiling 20 owners, and debut of a panoramic artwork tracing the G318 Sichuan–Xizang Power Swap Route.
Proceeds from the User Marketplace would go to the Zhejiang Charity Federation, with the Nio Users Foundation matching donations and overseeing follow-up projects.
