GWM Malaysia will unveil its new Tank 500 HEV at the Malaysia Autoshow on May 8, aiming to redefine the luxury off-road hybrid SUV segment.
Pre-bookings opened on April 14 and have already drawn strong interest nationwide. Its tentaive price is below RM350,000.
Under the bonnet sits a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder hybrid engine mated to a nine-speed hybrid automatic gearbox, producing a combined 255 kW (346 PS) and 648Nm of torque.
The intelligent four-wheel-drive system incorporates M-Lock, 11 all-terrain driving modes, Tank Turn Assist, Off-road Cruise Control and a Transparent Chassis View function. The seven-seat cabin is trimmed in Nappa leather and features an Infinity premium audio system.
Throughout May, GWM Malaysia is running promotions across its entire range.
Buyers of the Tank 300 will enjoy five years’ free servicing and entry into a “Realise Your Dream Trip” campaign, with monthly RM8,888 travel vouchers and a grand prize of an Iron Cavalry Modification Kit. Test-drive participants may win one of 25 RM888 travel vouchers each month.
The Haval H6 HEV comes with five years’ free servicing plus a RM3,000 interest subsidy, delivering total savings up to RM 6,600.
EV shoppers can save up to RM25,000 on the Ora 07 — this includes an interest subsidy, a complimentary wall-box charger, five years’ free servicing and a two-year warranty extension.
The Ora Good Cat attracts savings of up to RM20,000, including similar benefits.
To mark Teacher’s Day, educators who book any GWM model during May and register by June will receive an additional RM2,000 reward. All GWM models carry a standard five-year free service package.
At Auto Shanghai 2025, GWM’s Tank 500 HEV shared the spotlight with the Tank 300, Haval H6 HEV, ORA Good Cat and ORA 07.
