Leapmotor has opened its first showroom and service centre in Perak, giving electric vehicle owners in Ipoh and the northern region direct access to sales, maintenance and parts.

Located in Ipoh and operated by CST Auto, the Leapmotor Ipoh outlet covers 8,400 sq ft over two levels.

The facility includes six display bays, two delivery areas, EV charging stations, digital display zones and a customer lounge.

For now, only the RM125,000 C10 is available for sale.

The centre is a full 3S operation, equipped to handle Leapmotor vehicles from purchase through aftersales.

It is fitted with high-voltage diagnostic tools, battery conditioning systems and proprietary Leapmotor software for accurate fault-finding and repairs.

More importantly, its staff are said to be well trained on how to service Leapmotor EVs.

Stellantis Asean managing director Isaac Yeo said the Ipoh facility improves Leapmotor’s accessibility and aligns with its plans to grow in Malaysia, describing it as a key link to customers in Perak and the wider northern market.

CST Auto Group chief executive officer Datuk P.R. Chandhran said the company’s investment covers both front-end sales and long-term care, including maintenance and warranty support, with the aim of providing a consistent and reliable experience for Leapmotor owners.

Leapmotor Ipoh also offers extended warranty and service packages, 24/7 roadside assistance and a full range of genuine parts and accessories. Existing customers in the northern region are encouraged to switch their aftersales needs to the new centre.

Stellantis and Leapmotor have publicly signalled that Malaysia would be a regional base for the brand, with local assembly at Gurun due to start with the C10 and “more models” to follow, subject to demand and planning.

The dealership is located at No. 6, Jalan Kamaruddin Isa, Lebuhraya Fair Park, Taman Fair Park, 31400 Ipoh (tel: 05-246 1363).

The showroom operates daily from 9.00am to 7.00pm. Aftersales services run from 8.30am to 5.30pm on weekdays and 8.30am to 3.30pm on Saturdays, and are closed on Sundays and public holidays.
