Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has partnered with Power-Up (P.UP) by Nazamax Malaysia to roll out a mobile electric vehicle charging service that brings fast chargers to customers’ homes and workplaces.

The MB Platinum 5 subscription, exclusive to Mercedes-Benz EQ owners, uses Maxus eDeliver 3 electric vans with 120kWh DC fast chargers to charge vehicles to 80% without the owners present.

Each monthly subscription bundles five charging sessions with free car wash, vacuum and tyre shine.

Plans run for a month, six months or a year, with up to RM5 per session covering service and parking. Book in the P.UP app and a van will come to your home, office or wherever you need — handy where chargers are still thin on the ground.

Appointments are arranged in-app, after which a van is dispatched to the chosen address. Alongside charging, each visit includes a wash, vacuum and tyre shine to return the car clean and ready.

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia vice-president of customer services Edmin Naidoo said the initiative is aimed at enhancing ownership and reducing barriers.

The programme began as a pilot in Penang in September 2024 and, according to P.UP CEO SM Fauzi SM Shalahuddin, drew a strong customer response.

Three mobile charging vans now operate in the Klang Valley, with expansion planned for Johor Baru in Q1 2026 and peninsula-wide coverage targeted for the second half of 2026.

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s network comprises 32 premium retail outlets run by seven retail partners, administrative offices in Puchong and a production facility in Pekan, Pahang.

Pairing this footprint with on-demand charging aims to make EV ownership more convenient as public infrastructure matures across the country for customers everywhere.

BYD pipped Mercedes, being the first to sign up for the P.UP service.

Mercedes’ rival BMW has gone with Gentari’s Charge Go mobile EV charging service, which uses 30 kWh battery packs for DC fast charging.
