Wuling has launched the Hong Guang MINIEV Four-Door in China, priced from 44,800 yuan to 50,800 yuan (from RM26,310 to RM30,000) across three variants.
The new model expands the brand’s city EV line-up with two rear doors and a longer wheelbase to improve access and space.
Wuling says it has taken 20,000 orders since reservations opened in mid-December.
Positioned as a four-seat urban runabout, the MINIEV Four-Door adds fresh colour options and a cabin focused on practicality. Luggage capacity is 123 litres, expanding to 745 litres with the rear seats folded.
The stated driving range is 205km, with power consumption of 8.9 kWh/100km. Charging choices include DC fast charging, AC slow charging and on-board household charging; the standard DC fast-charge function replenishes the battery from 30% to 80% in 35 minutes.
Safety equipment includes driver and passenger airbags, Electronic Stability Control, an Autohold function with electronic parking brake, a high-definition reversing camera and Wuling’s Shenlian battery, which the company claims has zero spontaneous combustion. The ring-shaped cage body uses 67% high-strength steel.
Since its 2020 debut, the Hong Guang MINIEV family has attracted 1.5 million users, with the new four-door variant aiming to broaden its appeal in China’s urban EV segment.
