Perodua’s QV-E has barely finished making news on price, and the company has followed up with a broader cut to after-sales costs.
A few days after repricing its first electric vehicle, Perodua said it would reduce service maintenance parts and labour charges by an overall average of 10% from June 19.
The move covers all models, including the QV-E and applies to inspection, parts replacement and labour tied to scheduled maintenance.
President and chief executive officer Datuk Seri Zainal Abidin Ahmad said customers should save about 10% on their average service bill, depending on the parts and labour used.
He said the reduction was aimed at lowering mobility costs, with Perodua claiming it was passing on gains from improved operational efficiency and reduced wastage.
Perodua said more than five million of its vehicles are on the road, giving the price cut a wide reach. In 2025 alone, 3.7 million vehicles were serviced at Perodua service centres nationwide.
The announcement also repeated the revised QV-E pricing. The EV now costs RM93,999 outright, or RM69,999 body-only with a RM215 monthly Battery-as-a-Service plan for nine years. A limited-time offer cuts those prices to RM87,499 and RM63,499 respectively until Sept 30, 2026.
