Lepas is using Milan Design Week (April 19-26) to introduce the new L6 to Europe, bringing both the Super Hybrid and fully electric versions of its C-segment SUV to the stage.
The brand is also showing the larger L8 in Super Hybrid form, giving the event a broader product push rather than a one-car spotlight.
For the UK, the L6 looks especially important. Lepas has already confirmed that it will reach British buyers in the fourth quarter of 2026, making it the brand’s second model for that market.
That gives Chery-backed Lepas an entry into one of Europe’s busiest and most contested vehicle classes.
On paper, the early figures look fairly strong. The L6 Super Hybrid pairs a 1.5-litre petrol engine with an electric motor and battery pack, with Lepas claiming more than 1,126km of total range.
The L6 BEV, meanwhile, is quoted with a 67kWh battery and 434km of range.
Lepas said the electric version can charge from 30 to 80% in around 20 minutes, which, if borne out in real use, would be a useful number for longer trips.
Both versions sit on Chery International’s new-energy modular platform. Lepas is pitching the L6 as a five-seat family SUV with a connected cabin, driver-assistance features and styling meant to look sleek without going over the top.
The leopard-inspired design language is still there, though the company is clearly trying to balance visual drama with a more mainstream European flavour.
Lepas UK managing director Ray Wang said the L6 would be the second model sold in Britain and described it as a key step in the brand’s European roll-out.
Full UK specifications are due closer to launch, so details such as final equipment levels, pricing and local trim structure still remain to be seen.
