Gentari is tightening its leadership line-up as it chases faster growth in clean energy, with two key promotions taking effect on Nov 1.
Shah Yang Razalli moves up to group chief operating officer and country head, Gentari Malaysia, after serving as deputy CEO and chief green mobility officer.
He now has his hands on day-to-day performance, project delivery and business integration across Gentari’s main markets, with Malaysia positioned more clearly as the launchpad for regional expansion.
Shah is no stranger to the job. He has more than 25 years in Petronas and three years inside Gentari, helped set up the business as Petronas’ clean energy arm, and pushed its Green Mobility footprint across Malaysia, India and Thailand.
Taking over that Green Mobility portfolio is Fadzrul Ahmad, newly named chief green mobility officer.
Previously head of integrated strategy and portfolio management, he has been central to Gentari’s long-term roadmap, including its three core verticals and the Decarbonisation as a Service push. He now carries the brief for EV charging and new mobility solutions in all markets, with a clear mandate to scale.
Gentari CEO Sushil Purohit said both men have shaped the company from day one and will be central to its 2030 ambition.
The latest moves sit alongside earlier appointments of Sharad Pungalia in India and Claire Elkin in Australia, underlining Gentari’s plan to build a deeper, more global bench in renewables, hydrogen and green mobility.
