Proton e.MAS recorded 32,200 global sales in the first nine months of 2026, helped by strong domestic demand for the e.MAS 5 and a record export performance in September.
The electrified vehicle brand registered 3,701 units domestically during September, bringing its January-to-September total to 31,104 units.
Proton e.MAS said it held a 46.4% share of the local EV market, although its sales figures include both battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrids (PHEVs).
The e.MAS 5 accounted for 2,490 domestic registrations in September, representing 67.3% of the brand’s monthly volume.
The e.MAS 7 PHEV contributed 685 units, while the fully electric e.MAS 7 recorded 526 units.
For the first nine months, the e.MAS 5 remained the volume leader with 20,327 domestic registrations, followed by the e.MAS 7 PHEV at 6,247 units and e.MAS 7 at 4,530 units.
Exports reached a monthly record of 639 units in September, accounting for more than half of the 1,096 vehicles shipped overseas since January.
The e.MAS 5 contributed 358 export units, followed by the e.MAS 7 with 276. The remaining five were e.MAS 7 PHEVs, marking the plug-in hybrid’s first export shipments.
September’s combined domestic and export volume stood at 4,340 units.
Since the e.MAS 7 launched in December 2024, cumulative global sales have reached 41,749 units, comprising 39,994 domestic units and 1,755 exports.
The brand’s expanding customer base is supported by 60 dealerships, 46 service centres and 10 Body & Paint centres nationwide.
Proton e.MAS also reported access to more than 5,100 charging points across Malaysia, including over 2,000 at high-rise residential developments.
Pro-Net chief executive officer Zhang Qiang said the company would continue strengthening its aftersales network and ownership experience as sales and exports expand.
