Porsche Malaysia has launched the Cayenne Electric, expanding its large SUV range to three powertrain choices alongside the existing combustion-engined and plug-in hybrid models.

Prices start at RM699,000 for the Cayenne Electric, rising to RM759,000 for the Cayenne S Electric and RM969,999 for the Cayenne Turbo Electric. Coupé versions are priced at RM749,000, RM805,000 and RM999,999 respectively.

All versions use a newly developed 113 kWh high-voltage battery and an 800-volt electrical architecture. DC charging reaches 390 kW normally and up to 400 kW under specified conditions, allowing a 10-80% charge in less than 16 minutes.

WLTP range is rated at up to 642 km for the Cayenne Electric, 653 km for the Cayenne S Electric and 623 km for the Turbo.

The more aerodynamic Coupé, with a drag coefficient of 0.23 compared with 0.25 for the SUV, can reach up to 669 km depending on variant. The range-topper also becomes the most powerful production Porsche yet.

With Launch Control engaged, the Cayenne Turbo Electric produces up to 850 kW (1,156 PS) and 1,500 Nm, dispatching 0-100 kph in 2.5 seconds before reaching a 260 kph top speed. Its regenerative braking system can recuperate at up to 600 kW.

Adaptive air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management is standard across the range, while rear-axle steering is available on both models. Porsche Active Ride can also be specified on selected variants.

The electric Cayenne is 4,985 mm long with a 3,023 mm wheelbase, almost 130 mm longer between the axles than the combustion model. The SUV provides 781 to 1,588 litres of rear luggage space plus a 90-litre front compartment, while towing capacity reaches 3.5 tonnes depending on equipment.

The Cayenne Electric is Porsche’s second all-electric SUV to be offered after the Macan and is now available for booking.
