Gentari Go has widened access to AutoCharge, its plug-and-charge-style feature for compatible electric vehicles at selected DC fast chargers in Malaysia.
The feature is no longer tied only to Gentari Go subscription passes. Once a vehicle is enrolled, a charging session can begin by plugging the car into a supported Gentari DC charger, with the account check and payment handled in the background.
For drivers, the change removes the usual start-up steps at the charger.
There is no need to trigger the session manually through the app, scan the charger code or use a physical card, provided the vehicle and charger both support AutoCharge.
The system links the vehicle to the user’s Gentari Go account during enrolment. Gentari Go said compatibility depends on the vehicle having a fixed identifier that can be recognised by the charging system.
AutoCharge is available at more than 100 selected Gentari DC charging locations nationwide. Gentari Go said more sites and models will be added progressively after testing.
The official compatibility list covers selected EVs from Proton, BYD, Tesla, BMW, Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz, Denza, Zeekr, Volvo, smart, XPeng, Lotus and other brands.
Gentari is also using the rollout to offer RM10 in Go Credits to the first 500 users who sign up for AutoCharge and complete a qualifying first session. Normal charging rates still apply.
