Leapmotor has passed 1.5 million cumulative vehicle deliveries worldwide, giving the Stellantis-backed Chinese brand another growth marker as it pushes harder outside China.
The company said the milestone was reached just eight months after it crossed the one-million mark. Its first car was delivered in China in June 2019. By October 2024, Leapmotor had reached 500,000 deliveries.
A year later it had doubled that figure. The latest jump shows how quickly volume has built, helped by the Leapmotor International joint venture with Stellantis.
The sales story is also backed by model updates. Leapmotor has refreshed its core C-series SUV line in China, a move aimed at keeping momentum in one of the country’s most competitive price bands.
The updated C10, C11 and C16 were launched earlier this week with revised pricing and more equipment. The C10 now runs from 125,800 to 142,800 yuan (RM76,900 to RM87,300).
The C11 is priced from 143,800 to 159,800 yuan (RM87,900 to RM97,700).
The larger C16 is priced between 145,800 and 169,800 yuan (RM89,100 to RM103,800).
The hardware update is also notable. Battery-electric versions of the three SUVs move to an 800-volt platform, with up to 660km of CLTC-rated range.
The extended-range versions remain part of the line-up, while higher variants can be fitted with LiDAR and Qualcomm smart-driving hardware.
Leapmotor chief executive Zhu Jiangming had previously declared a target of selling one million vehicle sales in 2026 and more than four million a year within the next decade.
With 1.5 million cars already delivered, Leapmotor is no longer a fringe name in the EV race.
