Xpeng has released first images of the new P7 Wing Edition, a scissor-doored variant of its latest P7 sedan, with pre-orders open ahead of an August market launch.
The headline feature is its upward-hinged doors, paired with an exclusive matte silver finish, 21-inch grey forged wheels, and carbon-fibre accents on the front wings and mirror caps.
Inside, the Wing Edition adds darkened illuminated sill plates, an “Orange Radiance” cabin theme and upgraded Dinamica sport seats. Two powertrains are offered: a 270 kW single-motor and a 437 kW dual-motor AWD.
Battery choices are 74.9 kWh and 92.2 kWh. On the CLTC cycle, the single-motor delivers 702 km, while the dual-motor is rated at 820 km or 750 km depending on configuration.
The new P7 measures 5,017 mm long, 1,970 mm wide and 1,427 mm tall, with a 3,008 mm wheelbase — larger in most dimensions than its predecessor.
Following the model’s China debut and pre-sale opening on Aug 6, Xpeng recorded more than 10,000 orders in under 7 minutes.
The P7 targets rivals including the Xiaomi SU7, Tesla Model 3 and BYD Seal.
CarNewsChina estimates the Wing Edition price at around 400,000 yuan (RM235,000).
