iCaur Malaysia has opened iCaur Glenmarie in Shah Alam, making it the brand’s first dealership anywhere in the world as it readies the debut of its first model, the iCaur 03, on Sept 9.
Operated by Absolute Motor Sdn Bhd, the flagship site at 12, Jalan Pendaftar U1/54, Temasya Industrial Park, spans 18,912 sq ft (about 1,757 m²) and is pitched as a full-service lifestyle hub.
Facilities include a five-car showroom, a customer lounge with complimentary Wi-Fi, coffee and pastries, a dedicated vehicle delivery bay, and two private EV charging bays. A gaming zone dubbed the iCaur Arcade is also part of the offering.
The after-sales centre houses three service bays plus a customisation bay and specialised workshop.
iCaur said the outlet can handle up to 300 vehicles a month and is staffed by 30 employees.
Opening hours are 8.30am-6pm Monday to Saturday and 9am–5pm on Sundays, while the service centre runs 8.30am–5pm Monday to Saturday.
iCaur Malaysia vice-president Emily Lek said iCaur is quickly building its own ecosystem in the country, and that the outlet sets the tone for a marque aimed at individuality and self-expression.
Absolute Motor managing director Andy Yap said the company partnered with iCaur because it was confident in its design and engineering and its promise of sustainable mobility.
The iCaur 03 is expected to be priced between RM145,000 and RM155,000, with bookings open at RM1,000 (fully refundable).
Two powertrains would be offered.
The 2WD variant uses a 135 kW (184 PS) motor producing 220Nm and a 65.7 kWh LFP battery for a claimed 426km on the NEDC cycle.
The dual-motor Intelligent Wheel Drive (iWD) version delivers 205 kW (279 PS) and 385Nm, paired with a 69.8 kWh battery for a stated 418 km (NEDC).
By mid-September, iCaur plans 18 sales outlets and nine full-fledged dealerships nationwide, with Absolute Motor to add more outlets.
Globally, iCaur was created through a collaboration between Chery and SmartMi Tech. The new brand made its debut at the 2025 Shanghai motor show and targets expansion to 100 countries with over 2,000 sales and service centres by 2028.
The company positions its products around youthful design and connected technology.
