Jaecoo UK has released full pricing and specifications for the E5, its first all-electric model for Britain.
The compact SUV is priced from £27,505 OTR (RM156,000) for the Pure trim and £30,505 OTR (RM173,000) for Luxury, with first deliveries due in October via the expanding Omoda & Jaecoo dealer network.
Positioned as a battery-powered alternative to the petrol Jaecoo 5, the E5 adopts a cleaner, flush-front design to underline its EV brief. It sits on a platform optimised for electric driving and targets urban manoeuvrability while retaining a rugged stance.
Power comes from a 61.1 kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery paired with a 207 PS motor producing 288Nm.
Claimed WLTP range is up to 400km, with 0–100kph in 7.7 seconds. Charging peaks at 80 kW DC, enabling a 30–80% top-up in about 27 minutes; an 11 kW AC onboard charger supports straightforward home charging.
Standard vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality allows external devices to be powered directly from the car. Cabin tech centres on a 13.2-inch portrait touchscreen with the brand’s voice assistant, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 540-degree panoramic camera system and app-based remote functions.
Despite its compact footprint, the five-seat interior provides over 35 storage spaces and a 480-litre boot, expanding to 1,180 litres with the rear seats folded. A “Pet Mode” maintains a safe cabin environment when parked, complemented by optional branded pet accessories, while a high-efficiency air-filtration system is fitted.
Two grades are offered. Pure includes a six-speaker Sony audio system, six-way manually adjustable front seats and Level 2 driver assistance.
Luxury adds a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, heated and ventilated electrically adjustable front seats, multi-colour ambient lighting and an eight-speaker Sony upgrade. Across the range, there are 19 ADAS features, including Level 2 autonomous capability, adaptive cruise control and collision-mitigation systems. The chassis has been tuned for UK roads.
Warranty cover includes seven years/160,000km for the vehicle and eight years/160,000km for the battery, with no mileage limit for the first three years. RAC Home Start is standard.
Jaecoo UK country director Victor Zhang said the E5 brings the brand’s adventurous design and zero-emission refinement to a smaller, city-friendly package aimed at customers moving to electric without compromise. The petrol-powered Jaecoo 5 will be sold alongside the E5 within the compact SUV line-up.
