Cadillac has unveiled Elevated Velocity, an all-electric, high-performance 2+2 crossover concept that hints at future V-Series design and technology.
Shown ahead of its display at The Quail in Carmel, California today, the concept combines track-grade intent with off-grid capability on a lifted platform and 24-inch wheels.
Positioned as a step beyond recent V-branded EVs, the study focuses on dual-purpose performance and a tech-led cabin. Three core user-experience modes govern the interior and controls.
Welcome Mode orchestrates lighting across the floor, seats, doors and steering wheel while dramatic gull-wing doors rise to ease entry.
Elevate Mode enables autonomous driving; the steering wheel and pedals retract, cabin lighting turns red, and infrared seatback illumination plus guided breathwork animations create a recovery environment.
Velocity Mode shifts to cool white lighting and a focused cockpit, with a deployable steering wheel showing speed, time, battery status, temperature and AR-HUD navigation.
Selectable drive programmes target distinct terrains. e-Velocity is calibrated for intense on-road use. Terra activates air suspension for off-road work.
Sand Vision, akin to night-vision but tuned for sandstorms, improves visibility in low-contrast conditions. Elements Defy uses vibration to shed dust and debris, keeping exterior surfaces clean after harsh running.
The exterior pursues aerodynamic efficiency and stance, extending brand cues established by recent Cadillac flagships.
A stretched bonnet, sculptural surfacing and planted proportions are paired with a Vapor Blue finish and blue-tinted glazing.
Wheels blend flax fibre with black crystal-tint acrylic, and reimagined lighting includes fluted translucent elements front and a rear “light tunnel”.
Inside, the cabin emphasises materials and recovery-minded features for long-range or high-intensity use.
Deep red tones dominate: smooth Fine Nappa leather (Morello Red), a continuous Cerise fabric “ring” with a 3D-printed desert-polo-inspired pattern, and Garnet bouclé on key touchpoints.
Under Elevate Mode, the car adds cabin filtration, “extreme climatization” to counter dry air, rapid temperature swings and altitude changes, air purification with fragrance, and integrated red-light therapy.
Practical touches include a vault-locked compartment and lifestyle storage, illustrated by a bespoke polo set matched to the concept’s colourway.
Elevated Velocity advances Cadillac’s performance-EV narrative by coupling V-Series character with extreme-environment capability, previewing how future production models could blend road speed, off-road resilience and wellness-centric cabin tech.
