Mercedes-Benz has launched popular features of its smartphone app on the Apple Watch, enabling users to interact with their vehicles without their phones. The new functionality, now available in Europe, will roll out to the United States, China, and Asia-Pacific markets soon.
Key features include checking battery or fuel levels, viewing vehicle range, and remotely locking or unlocking the vehicle. The app also allows users to locate their parked car and navigate to it using a pedestrian route or compass mode for areas without maps. Additionally, it ensures windows are closed and provides real-time vehicle status updates.
This update shows Mercedes-Benz’s focus on improving the digital experience and meeting customer needs, offering seamless vehicle interaction beyond driving.
To use these features, customers need a Mercedes me account, the latest Mercedes-Benz App (version 1.50.0 or later) on their smartphone, and an Apple Watch running WatchOS 9 or later. The features require the user’s own mobile data.
This initiative marks a big step in delivering convenience and a first-class digital experience to Mercedes-Benz owners worldwide.
