The EV space in Malaysia is certainly hotting up with the imminent arrival of Zeekr.
Zeekr Malaysia has officially launched its operations and is now accepting bookings for the Zeekr X compact electric SUV and the all-electric Zeekr 009 MPV.
Zeekr is an electric sub-brand under Geely.
The indicative price for the Zeekr X is under RM180,000, while the Zeekr 009 is priced below RM370,000.
Booking fees are set at RM2,000 for the X and RM4,000 for the 009. The brand is represented by Sentinel Automotive Sdn Bhd, responsible for sales, after-sales service, and spare parts.

The Zeekr X is a sophisticated, high-performance electric SUV available in two variants: Premium and Flagship AWD.
The Flagship AWD model features dual motors, generating 422 hp and achieving 0-100kph in just 3.8 seconds, making it one of the most powerful in its segment.
The Premium variant is powered by a single rear motor producing 268 hp, with a 0-100kph time of 5.6 seconds. Both variants are equipped with a 66kWh battery and 150kW DC charging capability, allowing for a 10% to 80% charge in 30 minutes.
The X is available in five exterior colours: Crystal White, Mist Grey, Grid Grey, Palace Beige, and Pine Green, with interior options of Charcoal Black and Stone Grey.
Safety features include a 5-star Euro NCAP rating and a comprehensive suite of safety systems such as 7 airbags, a 360° camera, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). ADAS features include Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Collision Mitigation Support, Blind Spot Detection, and Automated Parking Assist, among others.

The 009 is positioned as a powerful and uxurious MPV, available in two variants: a 7-seater Luxury model and a 6-seater Ultra Luxury model. The MPV is powered by dual motors, producing 603 hp and 693 Nm of torque, with a 0-100kph time of 4.5 seconds. It is equipped with a 116kWh battery, offering a WLTP range of 582 km, and can be charged from 10% to 80% in 30 minutes with 150kW DC fast charging.
The Zeekr 009 is offered in three exterior colours: Phantom Black, Electric Blue, and Crystal White Pearl, with premium Nappa leather interior options in Black, Stone Grey & Polar White, and Midnight Blue & Polar White.
The MPV sets new benchmarks in luxury with features such as 12-way adjustable front seats with memory, massage, and ventilation functions.
The second row features Sofaro First Class Aeronautic seats with independent armrests, massage functions, and electric adjustments. The third row offers a one-button electric easy-entry system.
The 009 is equipped with advanced in-car technology, including a 10.25-inch LCD driver display, a 35.95-inch augmented reality head-up display, a 15.05-inch OLED infotainment touchscreen, a 17” OLED roof-mounted screen, and a 30-speaker Yamaha surround sound system.
Other features include wireless phone charging, multiple USB ports, CarPlay, Android Auto, and a face recognition driver monitoring system for fatigue detection.
Safety and performance
Both the X and 009 are equipped with extensive safety features, including a 360° camera, digital video recording, and comprehensive ADAS systems such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Centering, Collision Mitigation, and Blind Spot Detection.
The 009 also features a four-wheel-drive system with advanced air suspension for a smooth ride, maintaining a low noise level of 64.5 dB at 120kph.
