Naza Automotive Holdings Sdn Bhd (Naza Auto), a key player in Malaysia’s automotive industry, has entered into a strategic partnership with Gentari Green Mobility Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of the clean energy solutions company Gentari Sdn Bhd.
This collaboration aims to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in Malaysia and position Naza Auto as a big player in the EV sector.
The partnership aims to create an electric mobility ecosystem in the country. It intends to provide nationwide access to a network of EV charging stations, marking a critical step in integrating electric vehicles into Malaysia’s transportation system.
The deployment of EV charging stations has already begun, with installations at key locations such as Naza Tower in Platinum Park KLCC and Naza Automall in Petaling Jaya.
Future installations are planned for significant property developments like KL Metropolis and TTDI Sentralis.
This initiative supports the Government’s National Energy Transition Roadmap, which aims to set up 10,000 EV charging stations by 2025.
