Competition is good for consumers, ain’t it?
GWM Malaysia isn’t admitting it but we all know the reduction in Ora Good Cat prices for 2024 is in response to the popular BYD Dolphin, which you can buy from just RM100,530.
A longer range version Dolphin is offered at RMRM125,530 for 427km, an extra 87km from the base version.
With MG wading into the picture next week with its MG4 electric hatcback launch, the competition is set to get even keener. It’s joy to prospective EV buyers.
GWM Malaysia is now dropping the Good Cat 400 Pro price to RM113,800 and the 500 Ultra price to RM143,800, both down a hefty RM26,000 from before.
The warranty package comes with a 5 year/150,000km vehicle warranty, an 8 year/180,000km power battery warranty, and 8 year/180,000km electric motor and electric motor control unit warranty, whichever comes first.
To keep current Good Cat owners happy, GWM Malaysia is extending their vehicle warranty by 2 years to 7 years/150,000km (whichever comes first). They will also get an extra 5 years or 75,000km free maintenance (parts and labour included), whichever comes first, on top of last completed service interval.
The Good Cat was launched in Malaysia in November 2022.
For its Raya promotion, GWM Malaysia is giveing away a free home DC charger and a 3-pin portable charger with the purchase of the Good Cat. The promotion lasts until April 30.
