Dacia has unveiled the world’s first augmented reality “Boot Organiser” within its ‘Dacia AR’ app, promising to streamline how drivers load and optimise their luggage space.
The new feature lets users project a virtual layout of items — ranging from suitcases and skis to surfboards and sleeping bags — into their vehicle’s boot before travel.
Should a particular item be missing from the app’s comprehensive catalogue, users can add it manually, ensuring personalised accuracy for every trip.
Pre-configured packing scenarios for camping, holidays or house moves guide customers on how to maximise cargo capacity, with Dacia noting the tool was developed to alleviate the hassle of loading ahead of weekend breaks, holiday adventures and relocations.
The Boot Organiser joins a range of digital services designed to enhance daily motoring through Dacia’s expanding online ecosystem.
Among these is the “Dacia Travel Companion”, which analyses facial expressions and sleep patterns to detect driver fatigue and prompts rest stops at points of interest tailored to individual preferences.
It also integrates with popular navigation platforms such as Waze, Google Maps and Apple Maps to deliver route guidance and safety alerts.
Available on both iOS and Android, Dacia AR provides a continuous link between vehicle owners and the brand via smartphone, whether users are behind the wheel or away from their cars.
A single account grants access to all Dacia digital tools.
